Lately it's become sort of a challenge to tweet less and less. I'll occasionally log in and see something like “Last tweet 6 days ago.”

And I think, I can go longer, let's see how long. It's a fun game that you too can play along with.

You'll feel like you are gonna lose a lot of friends and not gonna catch up with a lot of info, but it'll be all right.

I've been doing the same with Facebook. Haven't got the guts to delete it, but I haven't been posting or adding any content.

@afarian I deleted FB about 10 years ago, never looked back. I'm mostly out the door with Twitter. There are like 4 people I check in with there and even then I'm starting to text them more and more so they get used to THAT form of communication.

I think my biggest blocker for FB is how easy it is to check in with friends and family. EVERYONE is on there. I also live on the opposite side of the country to everyone else (my husband and I moved away two years ago) so it's really difficult to ditch. Looking at photos of my nieces and nephews are just a few clicks away.

I am trying to wean myself off though. I've started with no longer updating. I think I'll grab all my photos and store them somewhere else, that should help a lot. I'm pretty connected with the "memories" i have stored on there.
