If you're not sure you want to reshare, use your #FriendicaFolders

There are several reasons why you could prefer not to reshare something interesting that you've found on the network.

Perhaps you fear you will annoy your friends with a post that they already have seen several times in their timeline.
Perhaps this content doesn't deserve to be shared all alone, you'd rather share it with other links and some other content, later.
Perhaps you are sharing too much stuff today and your friends might get annoyed.

For these and other reasons, you might consider using the #Friendica folder functionality. For those who don't use Friendica or its folders, it's a bit like personal #tags .

When you click on one of your folders, you get a timeline similar to a #... Show more...
That's a great tip, thank you!!

Excellent, but... how do I do that? This is the first I've heard of folders, and I don't see any option for that anywhere.

Aaah, yes, you haven't activated that option I think. Just a sec

Saved Folders - Ability to file posts under folders

Thanks, I've changed my settings. And... I still don't see a way to save anything to folders. Any clues? I put the fool in foolproof. If I can use a feature, then anyone can!

I put the fool in foolproof. Hahahaha! Do you see in the dropdown menu on the top right of posts and comments, on the right of "Friendica" here, the option?Image/Photo

Thanks! I failed before because it was a diaspora post, not a friendica post. Federation incomplete. 😀

I see this behaviour sometimes, well I'm not sure it is the same: some posts don't show options in the drop down menu, except the link to the source.

(but I think it's a glitch because, if I remember well, the options come back if I'm not mistaken.)
